The purpose of good subdivision and site design is to create a functional and attractive development, to minimize adverse impacts, and to insure a project will be an asset to the City of Sumter and to Sumter County. To promote this purpose, the subdivision and/or site plan shall conform to the following standards which are designed to result in a well-planned City or County without adding unnecessarily to the development costs.
