Article III. CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION AND LAND CLEARING DEBRIS LANDFILLS |
Division 2. PERMITS AND ADMINISTRATION |
§ 20-100. Existing unpermitted operations.
All construction, demolition, and land clearance landfills presently in operation in the unincorporated areas of the county which are not properly permitted for such operations by DHEC will cease to operate within 30 days after the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived. The operator of any such landfill operating thereafter must have a permit from the DHEC and all county permits required by this article prior to further operations. In the event a DHEC permit is held by the operator of such a landfill on the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived, the operator may continue to operate for a period not to exceed six months pending compliance with all additional conditions imposed by this article and obtaining permit from the county for the operation of such facility. No such landfill shall operate after six months from the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived notwithstanding the fact it holds a permit from DHEC unless it also holds all required permits from the county.
