§ 20-222. Conflict with other laws, ordinances, or regulations.

  • (a)

    Whenever the requirements made under any provision of this article imposes higher standards than are required in any other statute, ordinance or governmental regulation, the provisions of this article shall apply.

    (b)

    Notwithstanding anything contained in this article to the contrary, nothing in this article shall operate to require or permit an action contrary to the provisions of any applicable federal or state law or governmental regulation; provided, however, that the imposition of stricter (but not inconsistent) requirements by this article shall not be deemed to be in conflict with such other law, ordinances or regulations.
