§ 2-56. Order of sessions.
(a)
Meetings of the County Council shall be conducted according to the agenda for the day, and any departure from it shall be out of order unless the council shall so order by unanimous consent.
(b)
All items of new business to be included on the agenda must be delivered to the Clerk prior to 4:00 p.m. on the day determined to complete the agenda for the next scheduled meeting.
(c)
The agenda shall consist of the following categories of business, to be taken up in the order listed:
(1)
Call to order.
(2)
Invocation.
(3)
Pledge of allegiance.
(4)
Approval of agenda.
(5)
Approval of minutes.
(6)
Land use matters and rezoning requests.
(7)
Other public hearings.
(8)
New business.
(9)
Old business.
(10)
Committee reports.
(11)
Monthly reports.
(12)
County Administrator's report.
(13)
Public comment.
(14)
Adjournment.
(d)
No public participation will be allowed until completion of agenda items and the County Administrator's report and remarks, but discussion and remarks will be accepted after formal business of the meeting is completed. Public hearings are exempted from this limitation.
