§ 2-214. Requirements and procedures for recordation.

  • In order to record a plat with the register of deeds for the county, four copies of the plat to be recorded must be submitted to the register of deeds, the required recording fee must be paid and all copies of the plat must meet all applicable requirements established by state and county laws, ordinances and regulations, including, but not limited to, those requirements set forth in this division. Each of the plats so tendered for recordation must bear both the stamp and impression seal of the surveyor or other qualified and legally authorized person who prepared said plat (referred herein collectively as "surveyor"), and shall bear the signature of the surveyor or a facsimile thereof.
