The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the
meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates
a different meaning:
Board means the Sumter County Disabilities and Special Needs Board.
Mentally retarded person and developmentally disabled person mean any person whose intellectual deficit and adaptive level of behavior requires
for his benefit or that of the public, special training, education, supervision, treatment,
care or control in his home or community, or in a service facility or program under
the control and management of the state department of disabilities and special needs
board and/or this board.
