§ 36-23. Membership; terms of office.

(a)

The tax board of appeals shall consist of seven members.

(b)

The terms of office of the members of the tax board of appeals for the county shall commence on the January 1 following a respective member's appointment by the County Council. Appointments of members to membership on the board shall be made by the County Council every two years in order to provide for staggered terms of membership on this board and also such additional appointments to membership on this board shall be made by the council on such other occasions as necessary to fill any vacancies on this board.
